Kyle Parciany is a skilled percussionist and educator who is based in Atlanta, GA. Kyle currently holds the position of Director of Percussion at Lassiter High School and Simpson Middle School. He teaches private lessons to students of all ages, and is an Assistant Director for the Atlanta Youth Percussion Ensemble.

Kyle’s passion is sharing his love for percussion ensemble with his students and community. Lassiter High School Percussion Ensemble was recently invited to perform at the 2025 Georgia Music Educators Association In-Service Conference as a featured ensemble. Lassiter High School Percussion Ensemble has also had the honor of placing 2nd in the 2023 PASIC International Chamber Music Competition.

 

Kyle currently performs regularly with the Atlanta Percussion Ensemble and Atlanta Wind Symphony. Kyle marched in the 2016 and 2017 Cavaliers Indoor front ensemble, is a co-founder of the Something Clever Percussion Duo and has performed with notable Grammy Award winning ensembles like Arcomusical.

Kyle holds a degree in percussion performance from Northern Illinois University. As a student, Kyle studied under Dr. Greg Beyer, Professor Ben Wahlund, Professor Robert Chappell, and Dr. Rodrigo Villenueva. During his time at Northern Illinois University he performed in the NIU Percussion Ensemble, NIU World Steelband, Huskie Marching Band, Philharmonic Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble. 

 

Kyle’s got to perform with the NIU Percussion Ensemble at the 2018 Percussive Arts Society International Convention in the New Literature Showcase. Other notable performances include the world premiere of Robert Chappell’s piece “Algorhythm” featuring Liam Teague on steelpan and the world premiere of “Voice of the Winds” by Marta Ptaszynska in Matthew Duvall’s recital at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
